Program Description
The Creator, after the six days of Creation, rested on the seventh day and instituted the Sabbath for all people as a memorial of Creation. The fourth commandment of God's unchangeable law requires the observance of this seventh-day Sabbath as the day of rest, worship, and ministry in harmony with the teaching and practice of Jesus, the Lord of the Sabbath. The Sabbath is a day of delightful communion with God and one another. It is a symbol of our redemption in Christ, a sign of our sanctification, a token of our allegiance, and a foretaste of our eternal future in God's kingdom. The Sabbath is God's perpetual sign of His eternal covenant between Him and His people. Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset, is a celebration of God's creative and redemptive acts. It happened one Sabbath morning. Jesus as was His custom was worshipping together with the rest of the believers in the synagogue. In fact, Jesus was teaching this particular Sabbath.

Program Description
Let's go back to Matthew 10 and with that as a background, remind ourselves of the uniqueness of these twelve men. Twelve men who literally turned the world upside down. Not only were they heroes because of their courage, their devotion, and their obedience but because they accomplished their goal. They literally established the church. They touched a whole world. They extended the Kingdom, just these twelve; one of them unfaithful; eleven faithful, humble, simple people just like us. What kind of people does God use? He uses the common kind like we are. He uses the unqualified. God is in the business of accepting unqualified people because nobody's qualified.

Program Description
There is a popular teaching among some Christians that states that the secret rapture is a theological event that the Bible foretells will happen during the end times when millions and millions of people across the world will suddenly "vanish" or "disappear" without any kind of advance signs or warnings. As a result, people will be walking on Earth one second and then find themselves walking in Heaven the next. The rapture will only be for people who placed their trust and faith in their salvation on the completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross. People who have not made a decision for Jesus Christ will suddenly find themselves left behind to face the Tribulation period and the wrath of God to come. The question is this-- is this teaching found in the Bible? Let's Ask the Bible About the Rapture.

Let's look at Philip. He is not to be confused with Philip the deacon in Acts 6 who later became an evangelist; this is Philip the disciple. It never entered into his mind that the Lord was supernatural. It utterly eluded him that Christ could do a creative miracle. The supernatural resources of Jesus Christ totally escaped his thinking. He just calculated the whole deal. You know what he is? He is analytical. He is pragmatic. I'm sure he would sit in a board meeting today with a calculator punch it. Can' do it. We don' have the money. It cannot be done. He had too much arithmetic to be adventurous. He was so stuck on facts and figures he missed faith all together. Christ can take a very common person and make them a very uncommon Apostle. God uses all kinds.

The curious as well as the critics of Christianity ask this question. If God is all-powerful and all loving, then why does He permit evil and suffering in the world? Why do people get cancer? Why are there earthquakes that destroy entire cities? Why do people have to work so hard just to have enough money to barely feed their families? Subconsciously, we probably ask ourselves questions like these quite often. So, WHY do bad things happen? WHY isn't this world a better place? Let's ask the Bible.

And there are the Johns who can harness the truth in love. And they'll last and attract people to Christ. God uses all kinds.

The fear of death and dying isn't uncommon. Most of us fear death to some degree. In fact, the fear of death is so common that it has spurred multiple research projects and intrigued everyone from scholars to religious leaders around the world. Some interesting findings have emerged from studying the fear of death. For example, women have generally shown more fear of death than men, perhaps because women are more likely to admit to and discuss their fears.

Daniel Mc Lean, a Scotsman, who has a special affection for Andrew writes about his beloved Apostle these words: "Gathering together the traces of character found in Scripture found about Andrew we find neither the writer of an epistle nor the founder of a church nor a leading figure in the apostolic age but simply an intimate disciple of Jesus Christ, ever anxious that others should know the spring of spiritual joy and share the blessing he so highly prized. A man of very moderate endowment, who scarcely redeemed his early promise, simple minded and sympathetic without either dramatic power or heroic spirit. Yet he had that clinging confidence in Christ that brought him into that inner circle of the twelve. A man with deep religious feeling with little power of expression. He was more magnetic than he was electric. Better suited for the quiet walks of life than the stirring thoroughfares. Yes, Andrew is the Apostle of the private life".

What is heaven? Does it even exist? If so, where is it—and what is it like there? Some people don't believe in heaven. Others say there are three heavens—or even seven. Some say you go to heaven when you die. Others say no, you go to a place called purgatory first, then maybe heaven later. Some say heaven is not a real place, but just a state of mind. There are those who believe that eventually, everybody will end up in heaven. But others say very few people will make it there.

After the name of Jesus, no other name is used as much in the gospels as the name of Peter. Nobody speaks as often as Peter and nobody is spoken to as often as Peter by the Lord. No disciple is so reproved by the Lord as Peter. And no disciple reproves the Lord but Peter. No disciple ever so boldly confesses and so outspoken acknowledges the Lordship of Christ and no one denies it so boldly as Peter. He is a constant conundrum. No one is so praised and blessed as Peter, and no one else is called Satan but Peter. He had harder things to say to Peter than He ever said to anybody else. But that was part of making him the man He wanted him to be. Now how does God take such an ambivalent character, such a contradiction in human flesh, and make him a leader?
